DMCA Policy – AskBanter

At AskBanter, we respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. It is our policy to respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement in compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

1. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that content hosted on AskBanter infringes your copyright, please submit a written DMCA notice including the following:

  • Your full legal name and contact information
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is being infringed
  • The exact URL or location of the infringing content
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate
  • Your physical or electronic signature

2. Response and Takedown Procedure

Once we receive a valid DMCA notice:

  • We will promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content
  • Notify the user who posted the content
  • If applicable, allow the user to file a counter-notification

3. Repeat Offenders

AskBanter maintains a policy to terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. If a user is found repeatedly uploading infringing content, their account may be suspended or permanently removed.

4. Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may send us a counter-notice including:

  • Your name, address, phone number, and email
  • A description of the removed content and its previous location
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the content was wrongly removed
  • A statement that you consent to jurisdiction in your local U.S. federal district court (or Sujanagar, if outside the U.S.)
  • Your signature

5. Disclaimer

AskBanter is a user-generated content platform. The responsibility for posted content lies solely with the user who submitted it. We do not actively monitor all submissions but will act upon valid complaints.
